PEAPAC Recommends: YES

Biblical government is decentralized; this forces the state to “count the cost” before mandating programs.

Summary

Requires the state to fund any new programs it mandates local governments to implement.

Biblical Reasoning

We have said earlier in the voter’s guide that biblical government is decentralized. This measure appears to move in a decentralized direction. Additionally, this Measure would appear to give a positive incentive to the State to “count the cost” of any program that they might think of mandating to smaller jurisdictions.

Isaiah 10:1 — “Woe to those who enact evil statutes and to those who constantly record unjust decisions”
